The Minnesota Credit Unions for Kids
(MnCU4Kids) 2012 Chain of Hearts
fundraiser will take place from Jan.
9 to Feb. 24, 2012. All proceeds
from the fundraiser benefit Gillette
Children's Hospital in St. Paul and its
clinics statewide, which help kids with
disabilities and chronic conditions.
For the fundraiser, credit union members
purchase paper links and hearts at their
credit union branch, which are connected
and hung in the lobby to help illustrate
the “people helping people” philosophy
of credit unions. Ten years ago the
MnCU4Kids committee took this fundraiser
statewide for the first time. This year
the MnCU4Kids committee hopes to raise
$35,000 through this fundraiser.
Participating credit unions should
receive a Chain of Hearts campaign kit
in December, which includes hearts,
links and posters. In addition, the
following Chain of Hearts materials are
available for download:
